  • The BACross II fill is configured at the factory for unmatched water/air transfer and minimal pressure drop, guaranteeing optimal cooling tower efficiency.

  • FXVS cooling towers are factory built and delivered in multiple sections for larger models to reduce overall size and weight, allowing easy section assembly on site with smaller cranes.

 

Excellent hygiene control

  • FXVT towers are easy to clean and inspect reducing the risk of bacteria (eg Legionella) or biofilm inside the cooling tower.
  • Air intake grilles prevent sunlight from entering the tower to prevent biological growth in the tower, filter the air and stop water splashing outside.
  • High-efficiency droplet separators prevent water droplets from reaching the air. Their performance is tested and certified by Eurovent.

 

THE PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

The hot process fluid (1) circulates on both sides of the tower through coils (2), which are sprayed with water using a spray system (3). In parallel with this water spray, the axial fan (4) blows air (5) over the coils. The fluid (6) inside the coils is cooled by the evaporation process. The process fluid moves from the bottom to the top of the coils because the cooler spray water and air are at the top of the tower. The sprayed water falls into the filler (7) where it is cooled before falling into the water basin (8). The spray pump (9) recirculates the cooled water to the spray system. The warm saturated air (10) leaves the tower through the drop separators (11).
