The challenge: optimizing energy consumption
Our client was experiencing high energy consumption in their cooling system, which was leading to high operating costs. Our solution aimed to optimize the energy consumption of this system by implementing automation technologies, while maintaining optimal equipment performance.
The implemented solution
To improve energy efficiency and optimize energy consumption, we have adopted the following measures:
- Mounting of frequency converters on the chilled water circulation pumps in the primary circuit, allowing dynamic adjustment of their speed.
- Installation of sectoring valves for each chiller, which optimized the distribution of chilled water.
- Adaptation of control software, so as to allow chillers to be cascaded and their operation automatically adjusted according to the actual cooling requirement.
Impressive results
Thanks to these improvements, the client benefited from significant energy savings. Daily consumption was reduced by 4.000 kW/day, which contributed to lower operational costs and a reduced environmental impact, demonstrating once again the benefits of optimizing energy consumption.
Fast and efficient implementation
A key aspect of the project was minimal downtime. The implementation of our solution required a shutdown of only 48 hours, which allowed for the rapid resumption of processes without significant losses for the client.
