Rehabilitation and modernization of cooling towers

Tower Filling (Honeycombs).

INTERCOOLING supplies different types of tower fillers, both film and splash type, which are used in many industrial applications to increase the efficiency of the plant and the heat exchange surface in the same occupied volume.

Depending on the needs of the installation, we can choose the most suitable filling model by calculating the heat exchange surface and the admissible pressure loss. The high mechanical resistance, the quality of the raw materials used and the honeycomb geometric shape ensure a high level of performance.

To facilitate installation, components can be delivered to the required dimensions, and to optimize transport costs, all FMC models can be delivered in sheets, and assembled locally on site using a solvent-free adhesive or by heat welding.

Axial Ventilation

Axial fans are a performance component of cooling towers and are subjected to extremely high stresses during operation. Since they are equipment components that rotate at very high speeds, it is critical that they be inspected at regular intervals for cracks, material fatigue, corrosion, or operational damage.

In addition to being a huge safety hazard, fan failures can cause major damage to cooling towers.

Drip separators, fan shrouds, timing components and many other components can be damaged and cause high repair costs.

We can supply fans of all sizes for cooling towers, condensers and fluid coolers.

Electric motors

Fan motors are available for both direct drive and belt drive units. Motors are MEPS compliant, can also be epoxy coated and have double encapsulated bearings.

These motors are designed for the harsh operating conditions of evaporative cooling equipment applications, and incorporate design features that ensure reliable performance in 100% humidity operating environments. IP56 class is the minimum standard for each motor. Motors are available from 0,37kW to 45kW.

Spray nozzles

We supply water dispersion nozzles for all types of cooling towers, condensers and chillers.

Our nozzles can be built to fit all models of evaporative cooling equipment.

Drop separators

Droplet separators allow the removal of liquids from a gaseous stream, most commonly the separation of water droplets from an air stream. Panel drip separators are made of PVC and meet CTI136 and ASTM E-84 standards for fire resistance.

Whether it's managing complex chiller systems, cooling towers, heat pumps, air handling units or radiant heating systems, we ensure that the cooling and heating infrastructure operates at maximum efficiency.

Our BMS can analyze occupancy patterns, weather conditions and other factors to adjust system loading accordingly, reducing energy waste.

Cooling coils

In thermal performance testing, this coil model demonstrated increased cooling performance, providing unmatched system efficiency.

Designed and produced in BAC factories: The Serpentine is constructed from a continuous length of steel pipe, which is hot-dip galvanized after manufacture. The cooling coils are designed for a maximum working pressure of 10 bar according to PED.

Condenser coils are designed for a maximum working pressure of 23 bar according to PED. Pneumatically tested at 34 bar.

Transmission systems

We supply and replace existing fans including motor and motor gearbox.

The components supplied by us are extremely reliable and easy to maintain, the only operation required being the oil change every 5 years of operation.

We can supply all transmission components: Electric motors, Bearings, Pulleys and flywheels, Transmission belts, Shafts for axial and centrifugal fans.

Bearings and bearings

Cooling tower bearings are commonly subject to overload, wear failure, lubricant aging and corrosion.

Bearings mounted inside the equipment are exposed to water vapour, condensation and high temperatures which contribute to reducing the life of the bearings.

In order to extend the life of the bearings, it is important that they are constantly inspected and greased.

We offer a wide range of bearings suitable for cooling towers, condensers and chillers.

Restoration of metal surfaces

We are restoring the metal support structure and side panels of the tower which show a high degree of corrosion.

Metal surfaces are treated with a protective layer of resins and acrylic compounds, which increases corrosion resistance and the life of the cooling tower.

Metal resurfacing services extend the life of your equipment. These include the repair or replacement of panels and structural components that are subject to corrosion or mechanical damage.

Even from the design and installation phase, the collaboration with the ICS company took place in excellent conditions. The ICS company provided even after the start of the installation telephone consultation at our request, regardless of the day or time we requested support for various operations: remote monitoring of the operation of the machines, assistance in changing parameters, interpretation of operation, assistance in case of accidental shutdowns due to lack of electricity, starting and stopping the installation during the general overhaul.
