Description

General presentation

Reliable operation guaranteed

Thousands of such models have been installed since 1978, proving the reliability of the VXC capacitor.

The fans, motor and drive system are located in the dry air stream, preventing condensation and moisture. There are no external moving parts, so the system is able to withstand even the toughest environmental conditions.

Different corrosion-resistant materials are available, including Baltibond, a patented hybrid coating, to guarantee a long service life.

The finned coil with extended heat exchange surface for dry operation is optionally available

Ideal for silent operation

VXI evaporative condensers include silent centrifugal fans placed inside to ensure low noise around the unit.

The air intake is carried out on one side, the cooling towers can be located in areas more sensitive to noise.

Noise can be further reduced during operation with noise attenuators designed and tested in the factory

Compact

Compact design, cooling towers can be placed in tight spaces

Single-sided suction allows towers to be installed near building walls

These cooling towers can be placed indoors thanks to centrifugal fans

Low transport, assembly and installation costs

VXI units are factory assembled. Larger models are delivered in 2 sections for easier on-site assembly with smaller cranes.

VXI evaporative condensers can operate at high capacity and minimal operating weight. Steel supports, required to be located both under the equipment and in the building when the units are installed on the roof, can be saved.

VXI evaporative condensers can be shipped in containers. Fan housings can be shipped with the condenser bottom section for easy on-site assembly.

Operating principle

Refrigerant (1) enters the coil of the evaporative condenser (2) over which water is sprayed using the water distribution system (3) located at the top of the condenser. At the same time, the centrifugal fan (4), located at the bottom of the unit, blows ambient air (5) up through the condenser. During operation, heat is transferred from the coil, which represents the internal circuit, to the water, then to the atmosphere. The condensed vapors then exit the unit (6). Basin (7) is the basin in which the water is collected. The spray water pump (8) recirculates the water to the water distribution system. The warm saturated air (9) leaves the condenser through the drop separators (10), which remove water droplets from the air.
