Features
- The YORK YK chiller is designed for air conditioning and process applications.
- The high-efficiency single-stage centrifugal compressor is powered by an open gear motor. This provides flexibility to run the chiller on electricity, steam or gas depending on utility rates.
- YK uses a falling film evaporator, K3 compressor models, to increase chiller efficiency and reduce refrigerant loads, making it ideal for LEED® building applications.
- This chiller is designed for installation in indoor mechanical rooms and requires a cooling tower for heat dissipation.
- The inherent flexibility of this chiller design allows precise selection for any building load profile.
Heat recovery
The YK heat recovery option can be used for domestic hot water preheating, process heat, plant air reheating and humidity control. Heat recovery provides operational savings, CO2 reductions and reduced water consumption.
Quick Start (only available for VSD drives)
Quick Start technology improves chiller start times and is used to return to set point up to 70% faster than standard chiller models.
Medium voltage variable speed drive
YORK has a full range of variable speed drives from 380V to 11.000V to maximize operational savings under inadequate design conditions, which are typically encountered 99% of the time.
