The COSMOTEC WSA air-cooled chiller offers high efficiency and low environmental impact.
Designed for 24/7, 365 days a year process cooling applications, the new WSA chillers feature one or two stepless screw compressor refrigeration circuits and use plate or shell evaporators and dry expansion tube and surface high heat exchange.
Description
The COSMOTEC WSA air-cooled chiller offers excellent performance thanks to its innovative design. The W-shaped heat exchangers with microchannels allow for high efficiency per occupied surface area. The power delivered relative to the installed space is one of the best in its category.
The HT version is ideal for high temperature water applications. The refrigerant circuit is specially designed for outlet temperatures between +15°C and +25°C. The compressor has an improved motor, which operates efficiently under various conditions.
For noise-sensitive installations, there is the Low Noise variant. The COSMOTEC WSA air-cooled chiller remains high-performance and energy-efficient. The compressor housing is covered with sound-absorbing material. The noise level is reduced by up to 4 dBA.
In low temperature areas, the LT version is the ideal solution. It operates at ambient temperatures down to -20°C. Condensation control is achieved by EC fans and partialization of the heat exchange surface.
The COSMOTEC WSA air-cooled chiller is also available with integrated Free Cooling. This option brings great energy savings. The outside air is used to cool the liquid. This means that the compressors can be completely switched off. The exchangers are dimensioned to achieve a free cooling temperature 10°C lower than the reference temperature.
The WSA and WSI models can be combined with FCB modules. This maximizes the performance of the Free Cooling system. The operating range of the unit is further expanded.
