Description
Compared with conventional models, the YHAU-CE exhaust-driven double-effect absorption chiller uses an innovative two-stage evaporation and absorption cycle. The absorption process is split into two stages, similar to how a counterflow series arrangement splits the load between two chillers. This, together with the parallel flow cycle, allows for lower lithium bromide solution concentrations, which reduces the risk of crystallization, reduces corrosion potential and improves efficiency, in combination with the following advanced components:
- Plate heat exchangers for low and high temperature solutions that optimize efficiency by allowing efficient heat transfer between dilute and concentrated lithium bromide solutions.
- Solution pump with variable frequency drive (VFD) that provides superior part load performance to reduce exhaust gas consumption compared to constant speed pumps.
